Welcome
To Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute
May is National Cancer Research Month
Established by the U.S. Congress in 2007, National Cancer Research Month focuses on the new advances and therapies in the treatment of cancer, and salutes the hundreds of thousands of researchers, physicians and other health care professionals, as well as patients, who participate in clinical trial research.
Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is a recipient of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2011 Clinical Trials Participation Award, which is presented nationally to recognize practices that have established high-quality clinical trial research programs for cancer.
As a strategic partner of the Sarah Cannon Research Institute, the largest community-based research program in the U.S., we are committed to advancing cancer research that will ultimately benefit cancer patients worldwide. To learn more about the FCS Clinical Trial Research Program click here.
Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is the largest privately-owned oncology/hematology practice in the United States. With over 120 physicians, 70 nurse practitioners and more than 60 clinical sites in our network, we are committed to providing world-class cancer care in community-based settings close to home. In association with Sarah Cannon Research Institute, one of the nation’s largest clinical research programs, FCS offers patients access to more national clinical trials than any private oncology practice in Florida. Our physicians have trained in such prestigious medical schools and research institutes as Duke, Stanford, Harvard, Emory, M.D. Anderson, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering; they provide leadership and consultation in the state's leading hospitals. Established in 1984, Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute serves patients as far north as Tallahassee, on the Gulf Coast from Tampa to Naples, and as far east as the Orlando area in Central Florida. Our primary purpose – and our passion – is to provide the most advanced cancer treatment, using cutting-edge technologies, in a setting where patients can be close to home and surrounded by family and friends.
