Gulfcoast's Hematology and Oncology Nursing Staff

Our oncology nurses are specialists in the care of cancer patients. They have extensive training and work closely with your physicians to give you the best possible care.

All of our oncology nurses are R.N. graduates of an accredited training program and may have additional years of education. The majority are certified by the Oncology Nursing Society.

Many chemotherapy treatments are given on an outpatient basis. The nurses who work in the clinic will administer your chemotherapy treatments. This is their primary responsibility and they are very skilled in chemotherapy administration. Your nurse will explain to you about possible side effects of chemotherapy and offer helpful hints about nutrition and cancer. Our nurses follow each patient's care closely both in the office and at home.
